Despite the fact I live in a "foodie" town, I rarely go out to eat. But when you work downtown, it's a beautiful day and you have family visiting it's kind of inevitable. I've dedicated this month to being on the healthy side so I ask myself one question when ordering out. Could I make this at home? If the answer is "yes," I normally don't order it. What's the point?
I recently started going to Taproot Cider House in downtown Traverse City. They have this "earth to table" philosophy that I'm a big fan of. I opted for their Quinoa & Kale Salad and substituted gorgonzola for chèvre. Healthy option and something I wouldn't normally eat at home. My family doesn't love kale so it's something I gravitate toward when I eat out.
What I wore: Zara blouse, Madewell skirt, Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses, Banana Republic bag
