I didn't get a good night sleep for nearly the entire month of January. The combination of reading James Rollins books and watching the History channel's Ancient Top 10 series left me with restless sleep, circles under my eyes and dreams of me being chased down pyramids. I tried melatonin as a sleep aid which just resulted in the dreams getting even more disturbing and bizarre. So with all the advice like drinking tea and no cellphone in bed, I added something else in the mix. An aromatherapy diffuser. A few drops of lavender oil and not only did my room smell great but I was out like a light. Is it all in my head? Maybe. But I'm getting a good night's sleep and there's definitely nothing bad about having my room smell like lavender.
